Concept narrative
This example revisits Viking labeled-release heritage with paired enantiomer substrates to test whether gas evolution shows biological selectivity instead of non-specific oxidation.
A penetrator-compatible Twin Wireless Experiment for Extraterrestrial Life (TWEEL)-style architecture can scoop material on impact, release 14C-labeled nutrients, and monitor evolved gas with a beta detector. A heat-sterilized chamber can be included as a control while preserving key soil chemistry constraints.
Why it fits IMPRESS
